Prelim task

In our video we used three main shots which are Match on action, 180 degree rule and shot reverse shot. We used the Match on action to show Minyee was opening the door we did this so we could show that she was going into a room and not out so there is a view from the outside and a view from the inside. We used shot reverse shot to show the conversation between the two girls(Kimisha and Minyee) and also to show expression and the hand action. In our film we didn't disobey the 180 degree rule but our shot representing the 180 degree could have been better by showing a two shots of the girls and a over the shoulder shot showing Kimisha.

Thriller analyses

This thriller trailer is an Action thriller because it filled with action such as there is alot of fighting, explosions, crashing which makes its intriguing and exciting. The music and sound of the trailer builds is slow tempo and is tense which builds tension and suspense for us. The pace of the movie is fast which makes us know that it is a action thriller. Convention of a thriller which are shown are the lighting is a bit dark which makes it mysterious to us. there is alot of different characters, the antagonist, protagonist. The story of the film is told mainly through the physical action that takes place througout the trailer and by this action it show that they are tracking people down and that there were alot of villians. the fact that there is alot of destruction gives us thrills and keeps us at the end of our seats. The narrator makes it sounds very exciting.
